Iran bitumen penetration grade 60/70 is semi hard penetration grade bitumen used as a paving grade bitumen which is suitable for road construction and repair. It is also used for the production of asphalt pavements with the below technical specification. This grade of bitumen is mainly used in the manufacturing of hot mix asphalt for bases and wearing courses. Penetration grade bitumen supplied by Iran Bitumen Co. is pure petroleum grade bitumen, manufactured from vacuum bottom by passing hot air. The bitumen supplied by Iran Bitumen Co. is produced from the remains of crude oil after cracking and removing its hydrocarbon. Penetration grade bitumen 60-70 has a penetration between 60~70 desi-millimeter and a softening point between 48 ~ 52C. Penetration grade bitumen 60-70 has a thermoplastic property which is similar to synthetic resin which gets softer with heating and hardens when cooled. This grade of bitumen 60-70 has very strong viscosity compared to other grades and it’s widely used.
